WATCH | Valcare #RealHeroes Video Series: Cathy’s Story

Born in Paarl, South Africa, Cathy grew up in severe poverty, experienced abuse, started working when she was but 10 years old, fell pregnant at 15 and got retrenched after doing hard labour for 25 years.

In spite of it all, she rose above her challenges and dedicated her life to giving back to her community.

Today, she is the Assistant Manager of the Tiffany’s Community Centre in Lantana, an initiative of one of Valcare’s member organisations, Monte Christo Miqlat.
