Watch | Valcare #RealHeroes Video Series: Songelwa’s Story

Songelwa’s parents died when she was very young, leaving the responsibility of raising her in the hands of her disabled brother.

She took refuge in sport, rose about her devastating past and chose to play a massive role in improving the lives of the people in her community.

Years later, she joined Mbekweni Community Sport Centre and SCORE.

SCORE manages and operates Mbekweni Community Sport Centre, which uses sport to develop the physical abilities of young people, and create positive life skills that enable them to cope with difficult realities.
