Watch | Valcare #RealHeroes Video Series: Xoliswa’s Story

Xoliswa’s husband passed away after only two years of marriage. She was left to take care of her autistic child alone.

After looking for a special needs centre for her daughter in her community of Mbekweni, she realised, it doesn’t exist.

After volunteering at a stimulation centre and seeing their long waiting list, Xoliswa decided that she needs to help her community.

She is now the founder of Good Hope Day Care Centre, the only centre for disabled children in Mbekweni.
